Startup Instructions for CQPWIN, ver. 9.0, 09/20/01 The zipped file CQPWIN90.zip contains several files needed for CQPWIN, ver. 9.0. This is a new version, written in 32-bit code to be compatible with Windows 95 and later. The last version to work under Windows 3.1 is version 8.1, available at the CQP web site listed below. The program logs 9 contests: CQP, ARRL DX, All Asian, CQWW DX, NAQP, SS, Sprint, WPX and PAQP. It has many new features over version 8.1, including increased SO2R support, the ability to log WPX from outside US/VE, increased LPT functionality, expanded post-contest information, and other improvements. The files in the ziped file are: CQPWin90.cab -- The compressed program and support files Setup.exe -- The windows setup program Setup.lst -- Text file summarizing the files to be used in setup To install the program, just run Setup.exe. Complete instructions on running the program are in the Help system when the program is run. You can also read the help file, CQPWIN90.HLP without running the main program by double clicking it to open it (it is a Windows Help File in standard format). There is also a DOS version of this program, CQP58, which has the same basic features for CQP, SS, WPX, minus the DVK, InstaMatch, and other bells and whistles. It lacks SO2R support, voice keyer support, Instamatch, etc, but works well as a DOS program. These programs, and any upgrades can be downloaded from the Northern California Contest Club (NCCC) web site for the California QSO Party: "http:/www.cqp.org". 73, Andy, AE6Y.
