CQP and CQPWIN Contest Logging Programs (c) Andy Faber, AE6Y 9/20/98 Now available for download are Version 6.0 of CQPWIN, AE6Y's contest logger for windows, and version 5.5 of CQP, the DOS version of the program. The file CQPDOS.EXE contains version 5.5 of CQP (same as the version uploaded November 1997), while the file CQPWINDO.EXE contains Version 6.0 of CQPWIN, which has been changed extensively since the last version uploaded, version 5.5. Both programs log the California QSO Party (CQP), the ARRL SweepStakes (SS), and the CQ Worked Prefixes Contest (WPX). Both have been modified to add the new 78th and 79th sections for SS contests. CQPWIN also adds the NA Sprint contest, and incorporates the new WPX scoring change for 1999 (one point for in-country contacts). CQPWIN also has other new features, including instant dupe checking as you type and a keyboard cw mode. All the files needed to operate the programs are included, along with readme files and sample logs. The DOS program is stored in a self-extracting compressed file called CQPDOS.EXE. To extract the files, simply run the program (i.e., type CQPDOS at the DOS prompt for the directory where you have put this program). Then read the text file README55.TXT and start to use the program. The Windows program is in the compressed file CQPWINDO.EXE. Decompress it as above, read the README60.TXT file, and start the program under Windows 3.1 or 95. These are full-featured programs that log, dupe, keep stats, send CW messages and exchanges, and generate postcontest paperwork. The Windows program also features InstaMatch (callsign matching from the current log and/or past logs as you type). It also interfaces to a SoundBlaster card to send prerecorded .wav files for CQ's, etc., and to send callsigns and exchanges. Complete help files are incorporated. Please contact me with any problems or suggestions. My address and phone number are in the README files. Good luck! 73, Andy, AE6Y.
